Terapia Clara
Gestalt Approach

A session with me is...

Focused on your self-awareness and personal growth. You don't just share how you feel — you also receive feedback that invites you to pause, listen to yourself and feel.

Gestalt Approach

How I work with you

Gestalt therapy is a humanistic approach that works from the present and brings body, emotion and mind together. It is not only about understanding why something happens to you. We also pay attention to what happens while it is happening.

Because you can understand yourself incredibly well and still end up in the same place.

We pause where you would normally keep going

You are telling me something and say, “Well, it was not that big a deal.” But your voice gets quieter. Or your neck tightens. Or you laugh just as something seems to land.

That is somewhere we can pause.

Not because I know what the gesture means, but because you may not have noticed it either.

Many things start to look different when you can notice them as they happen.

We do not try to take away what works for you

You push yourself and you get things done. You stay in control and that can make you feel safer. You take responsibility and, yes, things often work out.

I do not start from the idea that all of this needs to go.

I am more interested in noticing when you choose it and when it feels as though there is no other option.

You want to rest and find yourself doing something. You want to delegate and end up doing it yourself. You need help and “It is fine, I will do it” appears almost before you have thought about it.

That gives us something interesting to look at.

What happens outside therapy can show up with me too

You tell me you do not want to be a burden and, a little later, say, “Sorry, I am talking so much.”

That asking for help is difficult, but when I ask what you need from me, you answer, “I do not know, whatever you think.”

Or that you are very demanding of yourself and then wonder whether you are doing therapy properly. Yes, that can happen too.

When something from outside the room shows up between us, we no longer need to talk about it in the abstract.

We can notice it while it is happening.

We see what happens when you try something different

Not everything is resolved by understanding a little more.

Sometimes we can pause before you answer. Notice what is happening in your body. Say something aloud that you would usually keep to yourself. Make a request. Or stay for a moment with the thing you immediately want to explain, minimise or solve.

There is no correct answer you are supposed to find.

We try something different and see what comes up.

And, ultimately, having more options

I am not trying to make you less strong, responsible, independent or driven.

We work towards noticing what you do, understanding what purpose it serves and having more room to choose.

Being able to handle everything when you want to. And not having to handle everything all the time.

What if this were the moment?

Gestalt therapy helps you connect with yourself, understand what you feel and make decisions from awareness. If something resonates, write me.
